max potassium per day - HEALTHY
I've been on Freddd's protocol for going on 4 weeks. I've required approx 1500-2000 mcg potassium per day. It's an immediate need upon taking the B12/methylfolate.
Context Explanation
I've been drinking coconut water primarily for it. I was thinking it was good for hydration also, but now I'm worried. Today, I... BTW, I tend to eat 8-10 (or more) bananas a day, 2-3 thai coconut waters (fresh) and potatoes for dinner, and even I am experiencing the low potassium.

So it is obviously a very idiosyncratic issue, like so many others we face. I only recently started supplementing potassium gluconate in water. I started taking about a gram per day and I think it cleared up some muscle pain. But now I think it's causing heart palpitations. Has anybody experienced this?

Is it possible I have mild heperkalemia from a gram per day? The targets I personally aim for on my labs are a fasting 8AM sodium level of 142-144 and a potassium level of 4.2-4.5. For me, this takes approx 3 teaspoons of sea salt a day and 80 mEQ of potassium. I've been stable on this approximate dose for over a year while taking 0.1-0.2 mg of Florinef. @ zzz So is taking 780 mg per day a huge amount?!!! I am also drinking pedialtye and coconut water which has a lot of potassium in it plus salt stick pills which have potassium.
I feel like this has helped me but now concerned from this thread! I take 400mg of magnesium every day and my nutraeval results indicated I was a bit HIGH in magnesium). I drink coconut water a few times per week if not almost every day and occasionally have a bit of potassium gluconate, but it's odd that these episodes just happen so suddenly... Higher potassium intake, especially from foods, is linked to lower blood pressure and better heart health.
