That itchiness is healing, you know how when you get a burn and it starts to heal. I used OTC cortisone with aloe Vera when I had to be dressed and working. When I was home for the day I just kept the aloe going. I remember at the time, every day felt like an eternity. Now that much time has passed, it feels like it was a blip in time, I only remembered it when I read your post.

We mostly managed with OTC lotions and ointments such as CeraVe Itch Relief Moisturizing Cream and Cortizone10. When it got particularly bad, her oncologist's office prescribed Triamcinolone Acetonide (common brand name: Aristocort). With itchiness being one of the most uncomfortable of the symptoms I was prescribed prednisone. When I complained that taking this in the morning I was not getting relief through the night, I was prescribed Dexamethasone (2mg) and which seems to be helping.
