The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is launching Drive Forward, a new initiative reaffirming California’s leadership in clean air and climate policy and charting the next phase of the State’s light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicle programs. CARB is the lead agency for climate change programs and oversees all air pollution control efforts in California to attain and maintain health-based air quality standards. Organization of the Board Board Members The California Air Resources Board consists of 16 members. 12 are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the state Senate.
